This LED filament bulb is designed as a direct replacement for traditional tungsten or halogen microscope lamps used across Breckland microscope ranges. It provides the familiar warm white illumination associated with older filament bulbs, while reducing heat output and power consumption. The result is stable, even lighting for routine observation without the excess warmth that can affect sensitive samples or cause unnecessary strain on optical components.

With a BA15d base and single ended tubular form, the bulb installs in the same way as the original lamp, allowing straightforward retrofitting without modification. Although rated at just 1 W, it delivers a light output comparable to a typical 6 W incandescent microscope bulb, making it suitable for day to day brightfield work and general laboratory use.
