A Westminster type power supply, specifically designed for electromagnetic experiments which require high currents at low voltage. The unit outputs 2.5V a.c. - 1.5V d.c. at up to 16A a.c. or d.c. current. Output is via 4mm sockets, which accept standard 4mm plugs, shrouded plugs or spring loaded shrouded plugs. The unit is totally short circuit proof the transformer is specially designed to withstand prolonged short circuits - and is constructed of powder coated Zintec steel. Mains power input is via an integral IEC connector, with mains fuse, an on-off switch and inclusive lead. 4 of these units will fit into a Gratnells tray.
