Vibration Generator - Standard

Apparatus for providing mechanical oscillations for sound and wave experiments.
When supplied with an input signal from an amplified signal generator, oscillations are created in the integral rod-shaft, which passes through an electrical coil within the vibration generator housing. The frequency response of the vibration generator covers the entire audio spectrum and more. Electrical input from a signal generator is via a pair of 4 mm shielded sockets on the side of the unit. The top of the oscillation shaft has a 4 mm opening, to allow the attachment of accessories, such as Chladni plates which have 4 mm attached plugs. The unit is fuse protected, as well as lockable to protect moving parts when attaching or removing accessories. Can be used free standing or clamped.
Useful for wave experiments such as showing standing waves or stationary waves (using elasticated cord or string), showing nodes and anti-nodes, as well as resonance in springs, resonance patterns (when used in conjunction with Chladni resonance plates) etc.
