A high quality diffraction grating spectroscope for the viewing of Fraunhofer lines, flame tests in chemical analysis, absorption spectra through liquids, bright line spectra from discharge tubes, etc.
The spectroscope features a large diameter eyepiece aperture, to facilitate comfortable viewing of the single, large and bright spectrum which is centrally placed in the field of view. High quality optical components ensure that absorption bands show up clearly - even weak bands that are sometimes difficult to detect. The spectrum is generated by a particularly bright transmission diffraction grating of 600 lines-mm.
This robust unit is of fixed construction, with no need for adjustment, and comes supplied in a protective box. Size: 105mm long x 25mm diameter. Weight: 115g.
