Ebony Body Culture

Mixed culture of fruit flies. Contains parental flies which will have laid eggs on the medium - these will subsequently develop into larvae, pupae and adults. The complete life cycle from egg to adult takes about 10 days at 25°C.

On receipt, the cultures should be incubated at between 22-25°C, and following pupation the newly emerged flies can be used for crossing or sub-culturing. All cultures contain approx. 25 specimens. These non-virgin flies may include some dead parents as well as the larvae you require.
