Bell Jar Apparatus

An acrylic bell jar, complete with pump plate, for carrying out the classic bell-in-a-jar experiment to show that sounds waves require a medium in order to be transmitted. The pump plate is connected to a vacuum pump (not supplied) to remove the air from the bell jar, creating a vacuum. The top of the bell jar has a stopper with two metal rods to act as terminals for the electric bell (included).
