On 17 November, the team from Breckland Scientific visited schools and colleges across the North West, offering a hands-on workshop for science technicians. Under the guidance of Lee, participants built synthesiser circuits, then used their new instruments for a bit of fun and informal testing, bringing physics and electronics to life in a creative way.
Meanwhile Nic staged an “Atomic blast” simulation, introducing visible demonstrations and discussions around radioactivity and atomic physics, an educational way to deepen understanding of fundamental science concepts.
The event provided technicians with practical experience of electronics and radiation-based apparatus, reinforcing the value of hands-on learning and well-supported lab facilities.
