Meet Matt, Our Territory Manager

January 2026 marked Matt’s return to Breckland, bringing his valued experience and deep knowledge of the company. He has spent 19 years in the education sector, 14 of which have been focused on science.

Originally trained in agricultural engineering, Matt holds both an International Diploma and a City and Guilds Diploma.

With a passion for customer care, relationship building, and networking, he plays a key role in supporting customers.

Matt enjoys attending Tech Meets and getting involved in workshops, with his personal favourite being microscopy maintenance and measuring.

Can you tell us about your role?

“I focus on networking and engaging throughout the UK with both new customers and long-standing relationships I have built over the years while bringing fresh ideas to the team.

I attend Tech Meets and always happy to get involved in any type of workshop. My personal favourite is Microscopy maintenance and measuring.”

What’s something your most proud of in your role?

“I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built at Breckland and across the wider Atom Scientific family.

I also take pride in running tech events and being invited back by technicians. It’s especially rewarding when techs move to new schools and request that I continue providing support.

I have strong expertise in microscopy and a deep understanding of microscope operation and maintenance. Many customers now specifically ask me to inspect and repair their microscopes.”

What made you want to join Breckland?

“I wanted to join Breckland because it’s a close-knit, well-run team with clear goals and a long-term, achievable project now being a part of the Atom Scientific family that I want to be part of”
