Lee's In Devon!

Lee was in Sidmouth, Devon this week, leading a workshop specifically for local technicians. Many attended and joined in a series of engaging skills sessions throughout the day.

The workshop began with an advanced microscopy session, where Lee guided participants through practical techniques and detailed demonstrations. Technicians had the opportunity to work hands-on with equipment, enhancing their understanding of microscopy applications and image interpretation.

After this, the focus shifted to alpha particle demonstrations, giving attendees a chance to explore fundamental concepts in radiation and particle behaviour in a controlled, interactive setting. These demonstrations helped bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world observation.

The day concluded with a fun and creative session where participants worked together to build theremins, electronic instruments that produce sound from hand movements near antennas. This part of the workshop combined technical skill with imaginative design, leaving attendees with a unique finished project.
