Toluidine blue is usually used as 1% aqueous solution. Make up into solution, from powder, by mixing 1g of Toluidine blue with 100ml warm demineralised or distilled water. Keep warming, while stirring, until it is all dissolved. Toluidine blue can also be used as an alcoholic solution. If this is required, dissolve 1g Toluidine blue in 100ml of 70% alcohol.
