This updated version of the Doppler Ball from Lascells provides a much more cost effective way to demonstrate the doppler effect. The apparatus comprises a 100mm round plastic casing (ball) which contains a coin cell battery powered buzzer inside (coin cell not included). The ball can be safely whirled round in a large horizontal circle to demonstrate the Doppler effect. With a single pitch loud output volume, this apparatus provides an effective demonstration of the Doppler shift (frequency/pitch change) associated with a moving source. Suitable for teaching sound, wave theory, and red shift. Supplied with 1.5 m nylon rotation cord.
Please note: requires 1 x CR2032 coin cell battery (BAT-300-150 or BAT-300-220).
