Moments Kit

An extremely simple piece of apparatus comprising a 650mm long dowel with 2 machined grooves. The force required to lift a mass hung approx. 1/3rd from one end (pivot point) can be measured and thus the principles of moments or 'force multipliers' can be measured. The groove at one end allows a forcemeter to be connected, whilst hanging masses can be hung from the other groove. This perfectly demonstrates how a wheelbarrow works. The kit contains 5 machined dowels.
