MacConkey Agar, (with Neutral Red, No Salt)

Powdered culture media for making up plates or for making into solution with neutral red and no salt. Once made up, the media can be used for growing bacterial or fungal cultures. 

Originally developed for the isolation and differentiation of lactose and non lactose fermenting enteric bacteria - since modified to improve recovery of staphylococci and enterococci.  Used for culturing a wide range of clinical material and has applications in food, water and dairy bacteriology.
