Virkon Powder - 50g

A Virucidal disinfectant that kills all 17 virus families. It is an excellent bactericide and fungicide and can be applied in powder form directly to spillages of blood and other body fluids. It easily dissolves to make an inexpensive liquid disinfectant. Available either in powder form or 5g tablets. One Virkon tablet makes 500ml of disinfectant solution.

Q = How do I make Virkon into solution and how long does it last?
A = Should be used as a 1% solution i.e. 1g in 100ml warm (NOT hot) water, 5g in 500ml, 10g in 1 litre etc. (warm water dissolves the powder more quickly).
 Once in solution, Virkon should remain effective for 1-2 weeks. Also, if it loses its colour it should be discarded.
 The powder can be stored for up to 3 years if kept cool and dry.
