This Laser Reflection Tank from Lascells will engage students and help to bring optics demonstrations to life.
Light beams can be made clearly visible using this tank, along with a class 2 laser or laser pointer (not included), and the optical properties of light (such as reflection and refraction) easily observed.
By adding water and a small amount of scattering agent to the tank (such as Pine-Sol, milk, milk powder or fluorescein dye), the observation of the light path of a laser beam is made clearly visible.
The Laser Reflection Tank allows the exploration of several fundamental optical phenomena, including reflection, refraction, total internal reflection (TIR) and critical angle. With the addition of a diffraction grating (not included), the rays of diffraction maxima can also be observed.
Can be used in conjunction with the Adjustable Laser Pointer Stand (OLE-520-100), if a laser pointer is being used as the light source.
