Mixed Algae

Living Algae cultures concentrated in one drop dispensers. Supplied in 50ml, Sufficient for upto 30 students. Mixed Algae is a jar of instantly recognisable genera: typically Volvox, Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra, Chlorella and Euglena. Also included are Diatoms, Desmids, Cyanobacteria and other fascinating forms.

Q = Can I grow the mixed algae on, to keep the culture going for longer?
A = No, the supplier of these does not recommend this because there are up to 20 different species of algae and if you try to grow them on, one or two will become dominant at the expense of the others, which will die out.
