This Wind Powered Generator consists of a low inertia electric motor with plastic impeller, mounted on an acrylic stand. The impeller can be rotated using a hair drier or blower, and the 4mm output sockets allow the DC voltage generated to be monitored. The output can be used to illuminate an LED, or measured using an analogue (moving coil) milliammeter or millivoltmeter. Useful for demonstrating energy transfer, or for investigations linked to renewable energy sources.
