The Spectral Lamp System from Lascells consists of two parts; a Spectral Lamp Holder with Lamp, and a Spectral Lamp Power Supply, to provide a near-monochromatic light source for physics experiments such as spectral analysis, Newton’s rings, etc. – available separately, both parts are required for a full working system.
The Spectral Lamp Holder is designed to accommodate a low-pressure Sodium lamp with an ES (E27) type fitting, and has an integral thumbscrew to allow quick and easy fitting or removal of the lamp. Also included is an integral 80 mm long round bar, to provide clamping in a retort stand with boss head, to aid precise lamp alignment during experiments. Supplied complete with a low pressure Sodium lamp, providing a monochromatic light source.
The Spectral Lamp Power Supply Unit features a specially designed inverter circuit design for low pressure sodium lamps. It delivers a high ignition voltage during start up, then the supply then drops to a consistent voltage and current to ensure reliable operation of spectral lamps. Featuring over-voltage protection and an easy-to-use interface, ensuring safe operation in educational settings.
• Convenient source of near-monochromatic light
• Automatic electronic overcurrent protection ensures safe and reliable operation
• Holder can be opened to install/replace lamp using only 1 thumbscrew
• Lamp Holder supplied with a Low Pressure Sodium Lamp
