This Capacitance Box enables students to investigate the properties of a wide range of capacitors in such applications as smoothing circuits, charge/discharge situations and any electronic circuit requiring a range of capacitor values. Housed in a robust plastic enclosure, there 10 capacitance values in total; 5 non-electrolytic components of values 0.1, 1.0, 2.2, 4.7, 10µF and 5 electrolytic components of values; 100, 470, 1000, 2200, 4700µF. All capacitors are rated at 63V with selection by 4mm sockets.
Capacitors may be connected in parallel to add their values together if larger values are required.

The apparatus is for LOW VOLTAGE D.C. applications only, and it is advisable to check circuits for correct polarity before power supplies are switched on.
