This bridge rectifier system, from Lascells, is ideal for teaching the principles of rectification in electrical circuits, a key concept in GCSE electronics and beyond. It demonstrates how diodes are used in the conversion of AC to DC current, and contains a bridge rectifier circuit with LEDs showing which diodes are conducting during each half cycle of the AC supply. The front panel label shows the current path at each stage through the on-board load resistor, and the system includes a switchable smoothing capacitor, enabling students to observe its effect on the rectified output. The unit may be powered using a 1 Hz Signal Generator, for precise control. Connect to a voltmeter or oscilloscope to measure voltage levels or to visualize the waveform.• LEDs indicate which diodes are conducting during each half cycle of the AC supply• Front panel shows the current path through the load resistor at each stage• Switchable smoothing capacitor allows observation of smoothing effects on the output• Dimensions: 130 x 100 x 60 mm• Weight: 0.227 kg• Max. input voltage: 6 V peak• Max. rectified current: 2 A
