The new OBT microscopes from KERN are essentially upgraded replacements for the OBS series, which is now discontinued. These microscopes offer quality build and optics, and are ideally suited for educational use, from KS3 through to A-level (depending on the model selected).
All models feature coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs, fully dimmable 1 Watt LED illumination, iris (aperture) diaphragm, and rechargeable batteries with low voltage plug top power supply for flexibility of use. Monocular and binocular options are available, along with a plain or mechanical stage, and stage-mounted condenser or height-adjustable Abbe condenser (to allow focusing of light). Most models are fitted with a quadruple nosepiece, complete with either 3 or 4 objectives. Supplied with dust cover and user instructions.
The OBT 106 is a quality binocular microscope, with rechargeable batteries, mechanical stage, coaxial focusing and quadruple nosepiece with 4 objectives providing up to 1000 x magnification.
